Grant to help AG expand
125 new jobs in online cards move
AMERICAN Greetings are expanding in Osceola, Arkasas, in a move that will create 125 jobs and allow customers to design their own cards online.
The parent company of UK Greetings is expected to receive £800,000 from Mississippi County Planning And Development to help pay to upgrade the factory, although the payment still needs approval from the Mississippi County Quorum Court.
Great River Economic Development Foundation director Clif Chitwood said the company expects to hire the workers over the next six months for £10.10-£12.68 an hour jobs.
This development is completely separate from UKG’s operations in Britain and they have yet to see if the idea will travel across the Pond.
