Brits top greetings card poll

Aussies second - and French last for keeping in touch

BRITONS send more greetings cards than any other countries with more than a third of adults sending a card, invitation or postcard in the past month.

The survey by Ofcom showed 37% of British adults had sent a card, while Australia was second with 34 per cent, then China (33%), US (32%), Italy (30%), Germany (24%), Japan (23%), Spain (19%), and the French last with just 17 per cent.
Ofcom's director of research James Thickett said: "Although we're all increasingly using digital methods of communication, our research shows that the traditional greetings card still remains a popular choice for UK consumers."
Ofcom surveyed a total of 5,243 consumers in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, USA, Japan, Australia, Spain and China in September.
