Wonderland is being sorted

Creative hub is transformed for winter fun

CREATIVE hub The Sorting Office, home to both Iris Hill and Denise Hughes greetings cards, is being transformed into an art and design winter wonderland

The free festive fun is all part of an open studio event being organised as part of the Eastleigh Christmas Lights Switch On & Fun day.
Sorting Office resident Claire Vine is working on the grotto where Santa can sit during the event on November 23, when folk can brown the crafts and cards for sale, chat with the artists and indulge in festive refreshments.
The studios are open to the public between 11am and 8pm, and Father Christmas will welcome people into his magical paper grotto before leading the parade to switch on the lights at 6pm.
Everyone visiting the Sorting Office can also help the big man build a fairytale Christmas town.
Housed in the former Royal Mail building in the centre of the town, the EU-funded Sorting Office was opened by Red Or Dead founder Wayne Hemmingway in March this year as a base for creative people to work.
