Greetings for Addie

NSS support family’s plea for a lifetime of cards

A LIFETIME of Christmas cards is the plea from the National Stationery Show as the US event support terminally-ill six-year-old Addie Fausett.

Show director Patti Stracher has included the family’s request for Addie to receive as many Christmas cards as possible in her latest official newsletter for the show that runs in New York from May 17-20.
Patti, vice-president of NSS organisers Emerald Expositions, said: “As part of the greeting card community, you know the joy in sending and especially receiving a greeting card. Here's a chance for each of us to give back and brighten someone's holiday season.
“Addie is celebrating what doctors believe will be her last Christmas due to an atrophy of her brain. In the face of this devastating news, Addie's family has come up with an idea – they are asking people to send Addie a ‘lifetime of Christmas cards’.
“While fulfilling this wish is for Addie, it also goes a long way for her relatives, especially her two older sisters, Shayley, 10, and Audree, seven. As you put together your own holiday card lists, please consider adding Addie and her family.”
The address to send cards to is Addie Lynn and sisters, PO Box 162, Fountain Green, UT 84632, USA.
