Chilly leader is totally hot

Frozen storms in at top of annual calendar chart

THE annual barometer of who’s hot and who’s not has a decidedly chilly look about it this year – in a very good way! – as Frozen has gone straight in at the top of Danilo’s calendar chart.

The hit Disney animated feature has made its debut for 2015 with the official licensed calendar makers Danilo, knocking One Direction off the top spot the boy band phenomenon have occupied for the past three years.
Jennie Halsall, PR director of Europe’s biggest producers of licensed cards and calendars, said: “Our eagerly-anticipated annual calendar chart is always a barometer of who is new, who’s in, who’s up and who is down – and the new chart for 2015 titles is no exception.
“And there’s some last-minute reprinting going on to fulfill orders as calendars have really re-emerged as top sellers.
“Straight to number one is Frozen, making its calendar debut, outselling and pushing One Direction into second place.
“Minecraft has moved from six to three, 5 Seconds Of Summer are the hottest Aussie band for years and debut at four, outselling British pop band The Vamps who also make their debut with a top 10 place at eight.
“Despicable Me has debuted at seven, while Sir Cliff makes his 30th top 10 calendar chart entry and Michelle Keegan storms in with her calendar debut at number 10 ahead of regulars Kelly Brook and Cheryl.
“Film, TV and social media are having a huge influence on the chart with the hottest man to make a debut and new entry into the top 20 is Benedict Cumberbatch at 18 above Robbie at 19.
“Also making the top 50 out of over 200 titles are Kylie, Beyonce, Pink, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Little Mix and the Saturdays.
“The next best boyz are seasoned calendar subjects Olly Murs, Gary Barlow, Ed Sheeran, Michael Buble, Peter Andre and the twinkly Paul Hollywood, who also makes his debut in the top 40 with his own calendar.”
