Key trends identified across show’s four distinctive worlds

SEVEN key trends have been identified across Top Drawer’s four distinctive worlds for the evolution of the show that is one of the openers for the new trade fair season in January.

Organisers Clarion Events have brought their three shows of Top Drawer, Home and Craft under one umbrella to present the four distinct elements – Home, Gift, Fashion and Craft – within a single destination at London’s Olympia from January 17-19.
Top Drawer Spring will present a carefully-edited, global cross-section of products from more than 1,000 exhibitors at the design-led event showcasing Interior Accessories, Kitchen & Dining, Furniture & Lighting, Outdoor Living, Stationery & Greetings, Wellbeing, Children’s, Fashion Accessories and Jewellery.
They have identified four key trends for spring-summer 2016 – Lustrous Allure, a metallic trend hot on the heels of Dulux’s Cherished Gold 2016 Colour Of The Year, that sees an array of metallic tones with the edge to perform beautifully by themselves or as a base or accent to other colours while Blush Hues follows the fashion-led trend for all things pink, with shades from Barbie through to Ladurée macaroons.
Summer Living is the trend to follow to discover products with a summer vibe that will appeal throughout the year while those with an adventurous spirit will love the Intrepid Explorer trend for travel-inspired products for home and away.
Those who appreciate balanced colour, shape and form will be able to submerge themselves in the Modern Geometric trend, where sharp surface patterns present themselves across a vast range of products throughout the show.
Getting back to basics never looked so good as simple, clean lines and textural finishes distinguishes Rustic Utilitarian trend, while Add Character is the trend for your inner fun-child to discover a world of character-led products that the retail customers will love.
