Global reach for Frankfurt exhibitor registrations

MORE than 750 exhibitor registrations have been received from 51 countries for the next edition of Paperworld in Frankfurt – and 95 per cent of the space at sister show Christmasworld is already booked.

Paperworld is the specialist event organised by Messe Frankfurt for the paper, stationery and office supplies sector which includes a greetings section with the 2016 dates from January 30-February 2.
“We are delighted by the number of applications,” said Paperworld Director Michael Reichhold, “The fact that so many individual exhibitors have already signed up by the end of the first quarter shows the importance that the trade fair has as an international sector rendezvous for both industry and trade, as a place to establish valuable contacts with manufacturers and to exchange ideas and experiences with specialist colleagues.”
Among the exhibitors registering from outside Germany, demand is particularly strong amongst European and Asian countries. The top nations so far, include Italy, Turkey, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland and Great Britain, as well as India, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan.
The 2015 show saw 45,152 buyers and trade visitors from 148 countries who are also able to visit the sister shows of Christmasworld and Creativeworld.
The festive fair saw 95 per cent of space booked by the registration deadline of April 30 with more companies signed up than at the same time last year including numerous new exhibitors.
The product sectors include Christmas & Advent, Seasonal Decorations & Gifts, Florists’ Requisites & Garden Decorations, Visual Merchandising & Light, Candles & Fragrances, Ribbons & Wrapping and Asian Christmas & Decoration.
Eva Olbrich, Christmasworld Director, said: “This confirms the high level of satisfaction on both the exhibitor and visitor sides at the last edition of the fair. Over the years, Christmasworld has proved to be an extremely reliable business platform, even in difficult economic times. We will naturally continue along these lines in 2016 at the same time as showing new ideas and concepts for promoting sales at the point-of-sale.”
