Delicious prize

Lisa strings bunting along to win fabulous hamper

BEAUTIFUL bunting helped House Of Cards’ Lisa Gilbert to a delicious prize as she won Second Nature’s on-stand competition at PG Live.

The new bunting product went down very well at the recent show after the samples finally arrived, but they did have to quickly restring them to complete the decorations before the show opened.
As well as their Pimms O’Clock summer drinks event, Second Nature’s National Accounts Manager Chris Bryant and his team, pictured at the show, ran the contest to guess the number of lengths of bunting needed to stretch from the stand at the Business Design Centre in London to the publishers’ distribution centre on the Isle Of Wight.
Chris, who is also pictured presenting Lisa with her prize at the Tring branch of House Of Cards, said: “The actual answer as best we could approximate was 24,224 bunting lengths and Lisa’s guess of 26,370 lengths was the closest guess we had when we looked at the entries once we got back to the office.
“We think that may have got Lisa over the Isle of Wight and into the English Channel but it was a valiant effort and a fabulous Fortnum & Mason hamper was her just reward, she was over the moon!
“I can’t believe no one Googled it because if they asked we told them our bunting is in five metres lengths to reach across the average room – it’s the longest bunting around most is 3.5m lengths, that’s one of our marketing points.
“I did it myself at the show, using the postcode of the Business Design Centre and the postcode of our distribution centre, which is on our leaflets, to get the distance in kilometres between the two and divided it to get the answer.
“Someone said ‘I won’t cheat and use my phone’ and I thought ‘why not’! People were very honest.”
