Danilo and UKG celebrate as their licences take LIMA international awards

FROZEN was the night's big winner as children's entertainment brands and toy licensees make their mark at 2015 awards.

The consumer products campaign for Disney’s mega-hit animated movie Frozen – which sees Danilo Promotions have the calendars licence and UK Greetings publishing licensed cards – took top honours as Overall Best Licensed Program last night at LIMA's annual International Licensing Awards held at the 2015 Licensing Expo at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
Frozen also won in the Film, Television, or Entertainment (Animated) Programme category, while Kohl’s Department Stores received the coveted Retailer of the Year Award for their in-store presentation of Frozen.
In addition, Jakks Pacific’s Disney’s Frozen/Snow Glow Elsa doll tied with Playmates Toys’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles product line as joint winners in the Film, Television, or Entertainment Animated Licensee: Hard Goods category.
Danilo products also feature in other winning categories as the Celebrity Or Music Programme award went to One Direction from Modest Management/Global Merchandising Services, and Mojang’s Minecraft won the Digital Programme title.
“We’re delighted to recognise the huge impact that all of our awards winners have had in the marketplace, including Frozen as 2014’s top success story,” said LIMA President Charles Riotto.
“These achievements underscore the high caliber of today’s licensing initiatives and the significance of licensed properties and brands throughout the world.”
