Henri assists a lord

GT columnist pitches up among industry experts on BBC’s The Apprentice final

LORD ALAN Sugar had help from Greetings Today columnist Henri Davis as he made his final decision in the final episode of The Apprentice 2016 series screened last night (Sunday, December 18).

In her day job as Head Of Buying & Merchandising at Scribbler, Henri was part of the main panel among the 250 industry experts brought in to help advise on which of the two finalists – novelty gifts company owner Courtney Wood and homemade cake maker Alana Spencer – should win the £250,000 investment and become the entrepreneur’s business partner.
In the 12th and final week of the series, Courtney and Alana had to launch their companies, coming up with the name, branding and TV advert, before making a pitch to the experts at London’s City Hall with Henri, also the current Chairman of the Giftware Association, in the front line of those sitting in the main semi-circle of 20 people alongside Lord Sugar and his sidekicks Karren Brady and Claude Littner.
She was also one of the half-dozen, including John Lewis Commercial Director Paula Nickolds – now named as the retailers’ new Managing Director – shown advising Lord Sugar after Courtney’s pitch for his Purple Whale company, but the show finished with Ridiculously Rich By Alana winning the investment.
Henri’s appearance on The Apprentice can be seen on BBC iPlayer.
