Write start at trade fair

UK firm off to Germany for maiden Paperworld appearance

WITH business having taken off following their Dragons’ Den appearance, Write Size are about to make their maiden appearance at Paperworld, the specialist show for the office and stationery sector.

Running from January 28-31 at the Messe Frankfurt showgrounds in the German city, Midlands-based Write Size will be joining 1,500 exhibitors at the trade fair which has the new motto: “The visionary office and the stationery trends.”
Their innovative pencils are sized for ages two to six, six to 10 and 10-plus, and make learning and developing writing skills easier and quicker for youngsters, and hit the headlines when they were pitched to the Dragons on the BBC show in the summer.
Manufacturers taking part at Paperworld will present innovative solutions for tomorrow’s workplace – visionary office – and future-oriented lifestyle trends for giving, wrapping, celebrating and schooling – stationery trends.
Organisers Messe Frankfurt said trade visitors will find new products for trend-conscious stationery and gifts, relating to giving, wrapping and celebrating, as well as high grade writing utensils, bags and accessories, in Halls 4.0, 5.1 and 6.1.
From 2017, school articles will be located in Hall 4.0 with writing and drawing utensils – Write Size have stand D07 here – while Halls 5.1 and 6.1 have stationery and gift articles, greetings cards, small leather goods, accessories, gift-wrapping materials and ribbons, napkins, table decorations and party articles.
A spokesman said: “The high visitor standard and the very good propensity to place orders in recent years have been a great source of satisfaction for the exhibitors.
“Moreover, special shows and events generate new impulses for assortment compilation and shop design. For example, both the Paperworld Trend Show in the foyer of Halls 5.1 and 6.1, which provides an outlook on the colours, shapes and materials of the coming season, and the Mr Books & Mrs Paper special show, which is aimed at more than just book sellers, demonstrate how exhibitors’ products can be combined in a fresh and exciting way, and thus boost sales to consumers.
“And, when it comes to service, the 2017 edition of the fair will have a new wrapping show, Wrap Up with Ulla Büning, who will demonstrate a variety of ways to expand the gift service in the retail trade.”
Paperworld and Creativeworld are co-located at Frankfurt Am Main with the Christmasworld and Floradecora trade shows, which start a day earlier.
