Glasgow awards postposed

Delay means you can still vote for Spirito in Scottish business competition

UNFORESEEN circumstances mean tonight’s Scotland’s Business Awards in Glasgow have been postposed – but that helps shortlisted gifts and greetings store Sprito as the voting has been kept open.

After being nominated, owners Denise and Allan Laird were shortlisted for the regional stage of the competition, and have been collecting votes over the past few weeks, with the event due to end today, Wednesday, December 6.
They celebrated with a cake for customers in the shop, and have now said: “It’s now going to take place in January instead and we're excited to say that you can still vote for us! Thank you to everyone who has voted for us so far. We really appreciate your support.”
There are 12 regional stages to the Scotland’s Business Awards, with the organisers visiting all nominees before shortlisted those for the public vote, and the winners from Angus, Perthshire, Fife, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, Falkirk, Ayrshire, Dumfries and Galloway, The Borders and Dundee go through to the grand final.
