Surpassing expectations – Museums & Galleries at Spring Fair
MUSEUMS & Galleries are known for their eclectic and colourful Christmas collections, and fans of the company’s ranges have been growing rapidly over the last three seasons.
For 2017 M&G have surpassed expectations and have loads of exciting surprises in store, which seen in the new catalogue, and will be previewed at Spring Fair.
V&A Christmas – Henry Cole, the first director of the V&A Museum, was the inventor of the Christmas card – and by extension the whole greetings card industry of today – so M&G are hugely excited to be launching their new V&A-branded Christmas card collection.
Across three sizes and price points, the cards are available cellopacked in fives or eights and there is also a spread of five luxury Christmas boxes.
Macmillan – M&G are rightly proud of the large sums raised for charity through sales of their Xmas cards since Debbie and Alan Williams bought the company in 2013 – just over £150,000 in their first three years.
For 2017 M&G are delighted to announce they will be working with Macmillan Cancer Support on an exclusive range of Christmas cellopacks and boxes. The warm and festive selection of classic and contemporary festive imagery comes in three sizes.
In addition, M&G’s ranges of cards supporting Shelter, NSPCC, BHF, MIND, and Marie Curie have been refreshed and extended, and M&G will also be offering a Combat Stress selection box.
Matthew Williamson Christmas – Matthew Williamson’s everyday range, launched in 2016, has been an outstanding success and now the iconic British designer has turned his attention to Christmas, developing a capsule boutique range of eight stunning designs exclusively for M&G.
This really is Christmas like you have never seen it before – fashion fabulous. The silver or gold foiled cards are truly dazzling, and offer original and sophisticated festive looks that will grace any mantelpiece.
Christmas Wrap – M&G launched Christmas sheet wrap last year and the range was so successful they have made a major extension for 2017.
The new designs feature rich, bold colours and striking contemporary festive designs from some of Britain’s foremost illustrators working today. For the first time, there will be foiled wraps available too.
Also at Spring Fair, Museums & Galleries will be launching a boutique collection featuring the work of contemporary British designer Cressida Bell, who specialises in textiles, interiors, illustration and cake decoration.
M&G launch Cressida’s bold colour palette and striking designs on a range of three elasticated journals, slimline notebooks, a writing set, bookmarks, gift wraps, notelet wallets and boxed notelets, and Christmas cards.
Matthew Williamson set the stationery world alight with the launch of his M&G licensed cards and gift stationery last year.
For 2017, the card collection has been expanded to 26 designs. In addition, the designer is releasing a new premium collection of 12 gold and silver embellished and embossed cards inspired by his DNA collection of limited edition silk scarves.
