Asian sourcing bonanza

Global buyers head to Hong Kong for gift and stationery show – with sponsorship on offer

PRESENTED and managed by Comasia Limited, the annual Asian sourcing bonanza featuring four concurrent shows has become a regular fixture of the autumn southern China trip for global buyers.

Those looking for on-trend and novel gifts and premiums, giftwrap, toys and games, housewares, home decor, kitchen and dining wares, head for the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre each October.
Within the four concurrent shows is the Asian Gifts & Premiums Show, an important showcase and sourcing platform for made and designed-in-Asia gifts and premiums.
Visitors who pre-register online for a free admission badge at can apply for a special buyer sponsorship to receive up to £276 (HKD2,800) cash towards expenses during their visit to the show.
Running over the past two decades, last year the gifts show featured 1,342 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, India, the Philippines, and Vietnam, who presented their latest best in 1,800-plus booths.
More than 37,000 international import and export houses, wholesalers, distributors, agents, mail order companies and retailers from some 130 countries and regions attended the show.
The 2018 edition sets to fill the world-class venue with an even wider and more fascinating range of gifts, premiums, stationery and giftwrapping supplies, catering for buyers’ every sourcing need and keeping them up with the latest market trends.
The dedicated Design Studio zone will again showcase a fine selection of innovative ideas and design-driven products. Buyers looking for original, creative, functional designs and innovative products can meet with talented designers and promising young start-up companies.
As the global demand for personalised gifts continues to surge, the show will encompass a wide array of customisable corporate gifts and promotional products. Popular gift choices such as tech and smart products as well as artistic designs will also be featured.
The Asian Gifts & Premiums Show runs alongside the Asian Housewares & Kitchen Show, Asian Toys & Games Show, and Asian Festive Christmas & Seasonal Show, from Saturday to Tuesday, October 20-23.
At the same venue in Hong Kong from October 27-29 the Asian Stationery Show will run alongside the Asian Gifts & Travel Goods Show, and the Asian Sanitary & Bathroom Accessories Show.
