Bev set to peak again

48-hour challenge will raise more cash for Wellchild charity

BEV FISHER has decided she’s a glutton for punishment – the Cherry Orchard creative director has decided to follow the Three Peaks Challenge with the 8 In 48 Trek The Lakes.

With her boss Jackie Collins they raised almost £3,000 for Wellchild, the national charity for sick children, with last year’s event, and now Bev is determined to add to that sum.
She and teammates Debbie Glew, Mandy Luckhurst and Angela Miller are in training for the trek which sees them tackle eight peaks in the Lake District in 48 hours.
Day one tackles three Skiddaw, Helvellyn Lower Man and Helvellyn and takes about 6 hours to complete.
The second day is the big one with 12 hours of walking going from peak to peak to complete the other five mountains heading back across the Scafell mountain range towards the finish line at Keswick.
The Wellchild Trek The Lakes takes place on September 13-16 and anyone who wants to sponsor Bev can go to www.justgiving.com/fundr…/Beverley-Mandy-Debbie-Ange.
