Bev’s on tail of Snowdogs Trail

Vincent Van Pooch is all shiny and ready to be revealed in Ashford

HOT on the tail of her artistic efforts for the Cudworth Bunny Trail, Cherry Orchard’s creative director Beverley Fisher has been busy creating Snowdog Vincent Van Pooch.

Bev was asked by Greetings Today columnist Chris Fox and Wishes Of Cudworth owner Julia Keeling to design one of the rabbits to be hidden around their local shops to encourage people to visit and explore the area.
And she was then inspired to create Vincent Van Pooch for the Ashford Snowdogs Trail, keeping people up to date with his own Facebook page – where her artistry was spotted by Aspire Landscape Management in Kent who chose to sponsor her design.
“I may have underestimated how long this design was going to take,” Bev said, “but after the splatters have gone on and the varnishing finished, Vincent Van Pooch is all shiny and ready to return to the pack.
“Can’t show him in his entirety yet but I’ve loved painting him!”
This latest Wild In Art event is being presented by Ashford Borough Council and Pilgrim Hospices, with the finished sculptures going on display at key locations in streets, parks, and public areas of the town and borough for up to 10 weeks from September to November.
Each Snowdog will then be auctioned by Pilgrims Hospices to raise funds to continue to offer support for people coping with incurable illness.
Bev had just enough time to finish Vincent Van Pooch before starting her training in earnest for the 8 in 48 Trek The Lakes fundraising event to raise money for WellChild’s Children’s Charity.
