Cardgains tick all boxes

Buying group launch new promotional images and announce Brainbox Candy among latest suppliers

  

CARDGAINS are aiming to tick all the boxes for retailers as their continuing diversification has seen new members joining from a variety of sectors, so they now have two new promotional images.

And with suppliers from many different categories a number of new ones, including Brainbox Candy, Stone Marketing and Unknown Ink, have been revealed as joining the group’s portfolio.
The first of the new promotional tick images shows Cardgains’ mascot Cyril Service with some of the store categories, including greetings, gift, party, and candle shops along with garden centres, while the second includes the types of products available such as cards, gifts, chocolates, plush, partyware and candles.
Cardgains’ joint MD Chris Dyson said: “The idea is, of course, that the products match up with the retail store categories to offer independent retailers access to preferential trading terms across many brands, ranges and products.”
In addition to Brainbox Candy, Stone Marketing and Unknown Ink, Cardgains have added Creativ Co, Eco Chic, King Cole, and Shearer Candles, to their list of suppliers, and Chris added: “We believe they will add to the current portfolio and bring a new point of difference and choice to our members.”
Cardgains are currently getting ready to set up the Village at Spring Fair where many of their suppliers will be exhibiting and they’re also offering Spin To Win roulette wheel competition.
The Cardgains casino will be open from throughout the show at the NEC, which runs from Sunday to Thursday, February 4-8, apart from the final day, with prizes of money-off vouchers to be used against orders from participating suppliers and a month’s free management charge from Cardgains on offer.
Chris said: “The strength of product by quality and design has never been as strong. As with all exhibitors, the suppliers have been planning Spring Fair for many months and all look forward to a bumper visitor year.
“We’d love members to come and play Spin To Win and see what the Cardgains and the Village exhibitors suppliers have for members to win.”
Suppliers taking part in Spin To Win are Ab Gee, Abacus, Cherry Orchard, Creative Party, Grass Roots, The Great British Card Co, IC&G, Nigel Quiney, Peartree Heybridge, Saffron, Sarunds, UK Greetings, Words ’n’ Wishes and Xpressions 4U.
At 1pm on Monday, February 5, the Seaside Shuffle charity challenge will draw to a close with the handover of the £20,000 cheque to Guide Dogs. The 25-mile walk last June saw participants trek from Scarborough to Whitby raising money to sponsor Cyril the Guide Dog puppy – who may be making a personal appearance at Spring Fair.
And Chris and the Cardgains team will be on hand to sign up as many people as possible to this year’s charity challenge, which takes place on Thursday, June 21 – but you have to be at the show to find out what you’re letting yourself in for!
