Yuge treat for broadcaster

BBC’s political commentator loves Really Wild’s Trump card

VETERAN broadcaster Andrew Neil had a yuge birthday treat with a greeting from Donald Trump – and it’s all thanks to Really Wild Cards.

The ex-Sunday Times editor showed off his sound card with message from the US President on the latest edition of This Week, where he hosts the BBC’s late-night humorous review of the political week.
On Thursday’s show, May 23, he told guest commentators Michael Portillo, the broadcaster and former Tory deputy leader, and ex-Labour Home Secretary Alan Johnson: “I have a moment of the week this week, it was my birthday – but that’s not the moment. The moment was getting a birthday card from President Trump. With an audio message!”
He then displayed the sound card design from Really Wild Cards’ Politically Incorrect collection, and played the message where voiceover artist Darren Altman sounds just like the permatanned POTUS, including his mispronunciation of the word “huge”.
“I President Donald J Trump wish you a spectacular birthday. It’s gonna be yuge folks, they said that you’ve aged so well, so well. Great news.”
Pulling appropriate faces as the message played, Michael wished Andrew a happy birthday, while Alan quipped: “You can only imagine what Nigel Farage gets!”
Really Wild founder John Wignall said: It was great to see that Andrew Neil enjoyed our President Trump cheery Happy Birthday message.”
Trump is one of the stars of Really Wild Cards’ Politically Incorrect range, which also features Tory leader hopeful Boris Johnson and TV legend David Attenborough, with the cards retailing at £6.99.
