Kristof Fahy joins online specialists as chief marketing officer

 

MOONPIG have appointed former William Hill chief marketing officer Kristof Fahy to the same post less than a month after taking on the ex-WHSmith CEO as chairman.

Calling Moonpig “a truly iconic British brand”, Kristof (pictured) joins the online personalised cards, gifting and flowers retailers following a series of high-profile positions, most recently as interim CMO at www.checkatrade.com and chief customer officer at Hostelworld and previously at Ladbrokes/Coral, who he joined from the Telegraph Media Group after five years at William Hill.
Nickyl Raithatha, CEO of Moonpig Group, said: “Kristof brings over 25 years of experience creating and implementing successful commercial, digital, marketing and brand strategies and he will be a huge asset for our new leadership team. After a 10-year tenure in which she revived the 227-year-old retailers WHS, Kate recently stepped down as CEO at transport catering group SSP, and was announced as Moonpig chairman at the end of August as their sales hit £100million.
