Edinburgh Woollen Mill’s Kristian Lee moving to greetings and gift retailers
CARD Factory have announced their new chief financial officer is to be Kristian Lee, who is moving from the same role that he’s held at Edinburgh Woollen Mill for the past five years.
reported yesterday, Thursday, April 20, that the greetings and gift retailers snapped up Kristian to succeed their current finance boss Darren Bryant, who announced his retirement in January after eight years at the group.
Card Factory chief executive Karen Hubbard (pictured) said: “Kris has significant financial and commercial experience within retail and a clear passion for the sector.
“He also has the energy, drive and entrepreneurial mindset that will fit well with the Card Factory culture and will be invaluable as we move forward with our growth strategy.”
Having previously held senior financial and commercial roles at retailers including Brighthouse, Allsports and John David Group, now JD Sports, Kristian will take up his new appointment once his departure from Edinburgh Woollen Mill, which includes a 12-month notice period, has been finalised.
He said: “Card Factory have a fantastic track record of growth and are a business I have admired greatly for a number of years.
“I’m very excited to be joining and look forward to working with Karen, the board and all Card Factory colleagues.”
