Glee over £40,000 charity cheque

GBCC’s Floreo collection rakes in cash for gardening industry charities

THEY’RE jumping around with glee at the Great British Card Company after handing over a cheque for £40,000 from the sale of their Floreo photographic collection.

The presentation was held yesterday (Tuesday, September 12) on GBCC’s stand at Glee, the specialist garden and outdoor living trade show which runs at Birmingham’s NEC until today.
Sales director Chris Houfe said: “In May 2016 we launched a range of beautiful photographic greeting cards, Floreo, supporting both Greenfingers and Perennial.
“Each card sold donates 20p to the charities (split 10p for each charity) and to date we have raised just over £40,000, which is quite brilliant.
“This is an ongoing project and we’ve just launched a further eight designs to refresh the everyday range. For Christmas 2017 we’ve introduced five Floreo acetate boxes and each box sold has a 60p charity donation plus 12 single cards, again with a 20p charity donation for each card sold. We’re expecting the Christmas collection alone to raise a further £10,000.”
